Just over an hours drive from Dabton, whisky lovers can experience an in-depth tour of the 200+ year old Bladnoch Distillery. Enjoy a taste of the fine spirits, as well as operating the tools and equipment used in production.
Browse the full range of whiskies and find a unique souvenir to take home in the on-site Gift Shop. Café Melba at Bladnoch Distillery also serves a selection of light lunches, desserts and cakes to fuel your day.
Annandale Distillery

After a multi-million restoration in 2014, Annandale is one of Scotland’s 5-star, award-winning distilleries, whisky lovers should make sure to visit whilst staying at Dabton.
On one of their Guided Tours, journey through the fascinating history of Annandale Distillery whilst learning about their unique distillation process. Set to craft a unique and distinctive taste, Annandale Distillery is dedicated to bottling single cask single malt whisky.
Moffat Distillery

A whisky lover should not miss out on visiting Scotland’s first modern wood-fired distillery. Only 40 minutes from Dabton, the distillery (which was only built in 2021) welcomes guests to discover the ongoing, 7 year process to produce their first wood-fired whisky.
Tours of the distillery include a history of Moffat, as well as seeing the hands-on distilling process. To finish, visitors will get a taste of their blended Scotch whisky, wood-fired gin and fruit whisky liqueurs.
There are several notable distilleries/homes to whisky, that dram enthusiasts may be interested in whilst staying at Dabton.

Lochlea Distillery

The home of Robert Burns, Lochlea is an independent family owned farm and distillery based in the heart of Ayrshire, just less than an hour away from Dabton. The land in which Lochlea grows their malting barley today, is that of the same soil that Burns would have once tended to himself.
The Lost Distillery Company

The Lost Distillery Company specialises in reinventing the tastes of long-closed distilleries, bringing them back to life through a marriage of aged single malts to celebrate and protect Scotland’s Whisky Heritage.
The company is based on King Charles’ Dumfries House Estate where you can also find their bespoke Whisky Room.
Claxton's Dalswinton Bond
